Sheikhayn (Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman) in the eyes of Aimmah(as)
We often hear from our opponent saying that, Why do you condemn Sheikhayn when your Imam never offended or condemned them. So let us see, Are our opponent really true?, Were Aimmah pleased with Sheikhayn?. In order to reply to these question, I have collected some Authentic hadeeth from Shia Books to show them the real view of Aimmah (as) about Sheikhayn.
In Shia Hadeeth Books two fulan (فلان وفلان) ie so and so is commonly referred to Abu Bakr & Umar.
I have avoided hadeeth narrated by Sudayr as-Sayraf, due to much confusion and contradiction about his Trustworthiness and his Narrations.
Hadeeth #1:
"A Woman from ansar loved Ahlubayt, one day umar met her, and asked her "where are you going old ansar lady?" She said "I am going to Aal-e-Mohammad so that I can acknowledge them and revew my oath" then umar said "They do not have any rights now, they had rights in the era of holy prophet, now they have no rights." Then the lady met Umm Salama and Umm Salama asked her "Why are you now away from us?" she said that she met umar and informed Umm Salama about that. Umm Salama said "Lies, rights of Aal-e-Mohammad are wajib on muslims till the day of Qayamat"

Muhammad b. al-Hasan by his isnad from al-Husayn b. Sa`id from an-Nadr b. Suwayd from `Abdullah b. Sinan. He said:
I heard Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام saying: The time of maghrib is when the sun sets so its disk disappears. He said: And I heard him saying: One night, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله delayed the final `isha so long as Allah willed. So `Umar came and knocked on the door and said: O Messenger of Allah, the women are asleep, the children are asleep. So the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله came out and said: It is not for you to annoy me or command me, and it is only upon you to listen and obey.

It is narrated from Ahmad bin Ziyad bin Ja’far Hamadani from Ali bin Ibrahim from his father from Muhammad bin Abi Umair and Hasan bin Mahboob from Ali Ibne Rabb from Imam Ja’far Sadiq (as) that he said:
This is proved by the Almighty Allah in this verse: {And We made the son of Maryam and his mother a sign.} It means the Almighty Allah has made him the proof and he says regarding death of Prophet Uzair for a hundred years and making him alive again: { And look at your ass; and that We may make you a sign to men.} Here also he wanted to make him proof on the people. Thus the Almighty Allah made him proof on the people and called him a sign. The Holy Prophet had made the matter of occultation perfectly imaginable such that some people tried to relate it at wrong occasions. Umar bin al-Khattab was the first to do so. When the Holy Prophet passed away, he declared: By Allah! Muhammad has not passed away. He is not but in occultation like Musa was. He will surely return to you after his occultation.

Muhammad bin Ya'qoob narrated from Muhammad bin Yahya from Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Eessa from ibn Mahboob from Amr bin Thabit that Jabir had said:
I asked Abu Ja'far (s) about (the meaning of) the Qur’anic verse, { “And there are some among men who take for themselves objects of worship besides Allah, whom they love as they love Allah.”} He said: By Allah they are the followers of so and so (Abu Bakr and Umar). They have taken them as their imams instead of the Imam, whom Allah has determined for people. Therefore Allah has said, {“…that those who are unjust had seen, when they see the chastisement, that the power is wholly Allah's and that Allah is severe in requiting (evil). When those who were followed shall renounce those who followed (them), and they see the chastisement and their ties are cut asunder. And those who followed shall say: Had there been for us a return, then we would renounce them as they have renounced us. Thus will Allah show them their deeds to be intense regret to them, and they shall not come forth from the fire.”} O Jabir, by Allah it is the imams of injustice and their followers.

Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Sa'eed narrated from Ali bin al-Hasan al-Taymali from Amr bin Uthman from al-Hasan bin Mahboob that Abdullah bin Sinan had said:
“Once when I was with Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (s), a man from Hamadan said to him: “People criticize us and say to us that we claim that a caller from the Heaven will call out the name of the man of deliverance.” Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (s) became so angry. He changed his sitting and said: “Do not narrate this from me but narrate it from my father and you are not to be blamed for that. I have heard my father saying: “By Allah, it has been mentioned in the Qur'an. Allah has said,{ ‘If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it.’} Everyone on the earth then will submit to that (the call coming from the Heaven) and his neck will stoop when a call is heard from the Heaven announcing that: ‘The right is with Ali bin Abu Talib and his followers.’ The next day Iblis will rise in the space until he disappears from the people of the earth and calls out: ‘The right is with Uthman bin Affan and his followers. He has been killed unjustly so you are to avenge his blood.’ Allah will confirm the believers, who believe in the first call and then those, whose hearts are full of diseases, will doubt and become confused. By Allah, the disease of the heart is the enmity towards us. Then they will turn away from us and begin to criticize us. They will say that the first call is a piece of magic of the people of this house (Ahlul Bayt).” Then Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (s) recited this Qur’anic verse, {‘And if they see a miracle they turn aside and say: Transient magic.’}”
The same was narrated by Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Sa'eed from Muhammad bin al-Mufadhdhal bin Ibraheem, Sa’dan bin Isshaq bin Sa'eed, Ahmad bin al-Husayn bin Abdul Melik and Muhammad bin Ahmad bin al-Hasan al-Qatawani from al-Hasan bin Mahboob from Abdullah bin Sinan.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from Hisham ibn Salim from Zurara who has said the following:
“Once I said to Abu Ja'far(as), ‘Is recognizing the Imam from among you obligatory on all creatures?’ The Imam said, ‘Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, sent Muhammad to all people as His Messenger and as His authority over all creatures on earth. Those who believe in Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger and who have followed him and
acknowledged his message, on such people it is obligatory to recognize the Imam from us. Those who do not believe in Allah and in His messenger and who do not follow him and do not acknowledge him knowing about the rights of Allah and His messenger then how can recognition of the Imam be obligatory on them? They do not believe in Allah and in His messenger, do not follow him while they know about their rights.’ “I then asked, ‘What do you say about those who believe in Allah and His messenger who acknowledge His messenger in all the matters that Allah has sent, is it obligatory for them to recognize the Imam from you?’ The Imam said, ‘Yes, it is obligatory. Do they not recognize so and so (Abu Bakr and Umar) ?’ I said, ‘Yes, they do.’ The Imam then said, ‘Do you think Allah is the one who has placed such recognition of so and so (Abu Bakr and Umar) in their hearts? I swear by Allah that no one other than Satan has placed such recognition in their hearts. I asked Aboo Ja`far (عليه السلام), “Did you meet al-Husayn (عليه السلام), He (عليه السلام)replied, “Yes I remember when I was with him in the Sacred Masjid (Ka`bah) while the flood had entered it. People stood on the station of Ibrahim and those coming out said, “The flood has moved the station away,” and others when coming out said, “The station is in place.” He (the Imam) said that he (al-Husayn) asked me, “O so and so, what do they say?” I replied, “I pray to Allah to keep you well. They are afraid and say, “The flood may have taken away the station,” He (Imam al-Husayn) said, “Announce this, “Whatever Allah, most High, has made a banner (a light house), He does not take it away. So you must calm down.” The place of the station as Ibrahim had designated was near the wall of the House, and it remained there until people of the time of ignorance (jahiliyyah) moved it to the place where it is today. When the Holy Prophet liberated Makkah, he returned it to its original place where Ibrahim had placed it. It remained there until `Umar ibn al-Khattab took charge. He asked people, “Who among you knows the place of the station where it was before?” A man said, “I know it. I had taken its measurement on a belt and I have kept it with me.” He (`Umar) said, “Brint it for me.” He brought it to him and he measured it, and then returned it to that place.”

Narrated by Ali Ibn Ibrahim from his father from Ibn Abu Omeir from Amr Ibn Uthaina from Zurara from Abdel Karim Uthba Al-Hashemi who said:
I was sitting in the presence of Abu Abdullah (pbuh) in Mecca when some people from Al-Mu’tazila (A sect of Muslims) entered. Amongst them was Amr Ibn Obaid, Wasel Ibn Atta, Hafs Ibn Salem, Mawla Ibn Hubeira and others from amongst their leaders, [and they spoke] regarding the incident of the murder of Al-Walid and the ensuing disputes amongst the people of Levantine.
They spoke, debated and orated for a long time.
Abu Abdullah said to them, “You are too excessive. Elect a man from amongst you to represent your point of view and to be brief.”
They elected Amr Ibn Obaid; he spoke and gave a long oration. His speech included the following words:
“The people of Levantine have killed their caliph. Allah has driven them against one another and divided them. We have made a search and found a man of piety, reason and chivalry, of a caliber suited for the caliphate, and he is Mohamed Ibn Abdullah Ibn Al-Hassan. We seek to unite around him, pledge our allegiance and appear with him in public, that all who pledge allegiance to him shall be of us and we of them. Those who retreat from us shall be spared. Those who wage war on us we shall fight, deter their aggression and return them and their people to the truth. We desired to present this matter to you that you may join us. We cannot manage without a man such as you, with your standing and recognition.”
When he finished, Abu Abdullah (pbuh) said, “Are you all united on what Amr has said?”
They said, “Yes.”
He (the Imam) then praised Allah, glorified and invoked blessings upon the Prophet (pbuh). He said, “Verily, we shall be miserable if Allah is disobeyed, and if Allah is obeyed we shall be content. Tell me, Amr, should the nation entrust you with its affairs and appoint you caliph without fighting or conflict, and if you were told you had free rein over all that you rule, what then?”
Amr replied, “I would implement Shura (Counsel) amongst all Muslims.”
He (Abu Abdullah) said, “Amongst all Muslims?”
He (Amr) said, “Yes.”
Abu Abdullah said, “Amongst their authorities in Jurisprudence and the best amongst them?”
Amr said, “Yes.”
Abu Abdullah said, “Amongst Quraish and others?”
He replied, “Yes.”
Abu Abdullah said, “Amongst Arabs and foreigners?”
He replied, “Yes.”
He said, “Tell me, Amr; would you emulate Abu Bakr and Omar or renounce them?”
He (Amr) replied, “I would emulate them.”
Abu Abdullah said, “You go against them.”
(The Imam then asked the group) “What say you? Do you emulate or renounce them?”
They replied, “We emulate them.”
He said, “O Amr, if you are a man who has renounced them you are permitted to go against their way. If you desire to emulate them, you have contradicted them. Omar pledged his allegiance to Abu Bakr without consulting any man. Abu Bakr passed the caliphate to him without consulting any man. Omar implemented the Shura amongst six and removed all of the Muhajereen (Those who had emigrated to Medina with the Prophet) and the Ansar (The supporters of the prophet in Medina) except for those six men from Quraish. To them he recommended something I do not see you and your companions emulating by desiring to implement Shura amongst all Muslims.”
Amr asked, “What did he do?”
He replied, “He ordered Suhaib to lead the people in prayer for three days. The six would consult together with no one else with them except Ibn Omar whom they would consult but who had no say in the matter.
He advised those who were present from the Muhajereen and Ansar that if three days pass and they have not finished and elected a man, that they should behead those six. If four of them should agree before the three days have passed and two are in disagreement, that they should behead those two. Would you agree to this if you were to apply Shura amongst the Muslims?”
They said “no.” ......."
