The Master of the Martyrs : Imam Hussain(as)

Here are some Saheeh Hadeeth which Shows that Indeed after Hadhrat Hamza(ra) Uncle of Prophet Muhammad(sawas) The Master of the Martyrs is Imam Hussain(as).


Hadeeth #1

1 ـ حدّثني محمّد بن جعفر الرَّزَّاز ، عن محمّد بن الحسين ، عن محمّد بن إسماعيل ، عن حَنان «قال : قال أبو عبدالله عليه السلام : زوروا الحسين عليه السلام ولا تجفوه ، فإنّه سَيِّدُ شَباب أهل الجنّة من الخلق وسَيِّدُ الشَّهداء» .

Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: Perform the Ziyarat of Imam Husain (a.s.) and do not ignore him. Because he is the leader of youths of Paradise and the chief of martyrs.

Hadeeth # 2

2 ـ حدَّثني أبي ـ رحمه الله ـ عن سعد بن عبدالله ، عن أحمدَ بن محمّد بن عيسى ، عن العبّاس بن معروف ، عن حمّاد بن عيسى ، عن رِبْعيِّ بن عبدالله(1) «قال : قلت لأبي عبدالله عليه السلام بالمدينة : أين قبور الشُّهداء؟ فقال : أليس أفضل الشُّهداء عندَكم ، والَّذي نفسي بيدِه أنَّ حَولَه أربعة آلاف مَلَك شُعْثاً غُبراً يبكونه إلى يوم القيامة»

Imam Sadiq (a.s.) was asked in Medina,“Where are the graves of the martyrs?” 
Imam (a.s.) replied: Is not the best martyr buried near you? I swear by One who has my life in His Hand, four thousand  angels  are  present  around  the  grave  of  Imam Husain (a.s.), disheveled, covered with dust and crying over him till Judgment Day.

Hadeeth #3

3 ـ حدّثني أبو العبّاس الرَّزَّاز ، عن محمّد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطّاب ، عن أبي داودَ المُسْتَرِق ، عن اُمّ سعيد الأحْمَسِيّة(2) «قال : كنت عند أبي عبدالله عليه السلام وقد بعثت مَن يكتري لي حِماراً إلى قبور الشُّهداء ، فقال : ما يمنعكِ من زيارة سيّد الشُّهداء؟ قالت : قلت : ومَن هو؟ قال : الحسين عليه السلام ، قالتْ : قلت : وما لِمَن زارَه؟ قال : حَجّةٌ وعُمْرَةُ مَبرورَة ، ومِن الخير كذا وكذا وكذا ـ ثلاث مرَّات ـ بيده» .

I(Um Sa'id Al-Ahmasiyyah) was with Abi Abdillah(Imam Sadiq(as)) and I had sent someone to rent a donkey for me so that I could go to the graves of the martyrs (of Uhud) Imam asked me, "What prevents you from going to the Ziyarah of the Master of the Martyrs?"
I asked,"Who is he?" Imam replied,"Hussain(as)". I asked,"What is the reward for going to his Ziyarah?" Imam replied,"one purified Hajj and Umrah as well as this much reward."Umm Sa'id added that the Imam extended his arms out and then closed them three times(to explain this much reward)

Hadeeth #4

 5 ـ حدَّثني أبي ؛ وعليُّ بن الحسين ؛ ومحمّد بن الحسن ـ رحمهم الله ـ عن سعد بن عبدالله ، عن الحسن بن عليِّ بن عبدالله بن المغيرة ، عن العبّاس بن عامِر ، عن أحمدَ بن رِزق الغَمْشانيّ(1) ، عن اُم سعيد الأحْمَسيّة «قالت : دخلت المدينة فاكتريت حِماراً على أن أطوف على قبور الشُّهداء(2) ، فقلت : لابدَّ أبدء بابن رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم فأدخل عليه ، فأبطأتُ على المكاري قليلاً ، فهتف بي ، فقال لي أبو عبدالله عليه السلام : ما هذا يا اُمَّ سعيد؟ قلت له : جعلت فِداك تَكارَيتُ حِماراً لأزور عَلى قُبور الشُّهداء ، قال : أفلا اُخبرُك بسَيِّد الشُّهداء؟ ! قلت : بلى ، قال : الحسين بن عليِّ عليهما السلام ، قلت : وإنّه لسيِّد الشّهداء؟! قال : نَعَم ، قلت: فما لمن زاره؟ قال: حَجّة وعُمْرَة ، ومن الخير ـ هكذا وهكذا ـ »

I(Um Sa'id Al-Ahmasiyyah) entered Madinah and I rented a donkey (and a guide) to go to the Ziyarah of the graves of the martyrs (of Uhud). However, I thought that i should start by visiting the son of the Messenger of Allah(Imam Sadiq(as)). So I went and saw the Imam(as),and I delayed the guide a little.The guide raised his voice(to make me hurry).
(When the Imam(as) heard him) he asked me,"what is this about,O Um Sa'id?" 
I replied."May I sacrifice myself for you! I have rented a donkey to go to the Ziyarah of the graves of the martyrs (of Uhud)". Imam(as) asked,"Should I not tell you about the Master of the Martyrs?" I replied,"Yes." Imam(as) asked,"(It is) Hussain ibn Ali(as)" I asked, "Is he truly the Master of the Martyrs?" Imam(as) replied,"Yes" I asked."What is the reward for those who go to his Ziyarah" Imam(as) replied,"The reward of Hajj and Umrah and this much reward"
