Hadeeth-e-Thaqalyn (Two Weighty Things)
Hadeeth 01:
حدثنا محمد بن محمد، قال: حدثنا أبو القاسم جعفر بن محمد بن قولويه (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثني أبي، قال: حدثني سعد بن عبد الله، عن أحمد بن محمد ابن عيسى، عن الحسن بن محبوب الزراد، عن أبي محمد الأنصاري، عن معاوية بن وهب، قال: كنت جالسا عند جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام) إذ جاء شيخ قد انحنى من الكبر..
فقال له أبو عبد الله (عليه السلام): يا شيخ، إن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه و آله) قال: إني تارك فيكم الثقلين ما إن تمسكتم بهما لن تضلوا: كتاب الله المنزل، و عترتي أهل بيتي، تجيء و أنت معنا يوم القيامة..
From Mu`aawiyah bin Wahab said: “I was sitting with Ja`far bin Muhammad (عليه السلام) when a shaykh (an old man) who was bent from being old came..So Abu `Abd Allaah (عليه السلام) said:
"O Shaykh, The Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: ‘Verily, I am leaving with you two weight things (thaqalayn), and if you hold on to them you will never go astray: (they are) The Book of Allaah revealed, and My `itrati, the Ahl Al-Bayt. I will come and you will be with us on the Day of Judgment."
"O Shaykh, The Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: ‘Verily, I am leaving with you two weight things (thaqalayn), and if you hold on to them you will never go astray: (they are) The Book of Allaah revealed, and My `itrati, the Ahl Al-Bayt. Hadeeth 02:
25 - حدثنا احمد بن زياد بن جعفر الهمداني قال: حدثنا على بن ابراهيم بن هاشم عن أبيه عن محمد بن أبي عمير عن غياث بن إبراهيم عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه محمد بن على عن أبيه على بن الحسين عن أبيه الحسين بن على عليه السلام قال: سئل أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام عن معنى قول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله انى مخلف فيكم الثقلين كتاب الله وعترتي من العتره؟ فقال: انا والحسن والحسين والائمه التسعه من ولد الحسين تاسعهم مهديهم وقائمهم لا يفارقون كتاب الله ولا يفارقهم حتى يردوا على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله حوضه
Ahmad ibn Ziyad ibn Ja’far al-Hamadani - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashem quoted on the authority of his father, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Abi Omayr, on the authority of Ghiyath ibn Ibrahim, on the authority of As-Sadiq Ja’far ibn Muhammad (s), on the authority of his father Muhammad ibn Ali (s), on the authority of his father Ali ibn Al-Hussein (s), on the authority of his father Al-Hussein ibn Ali (s) that:
The Commander of the Faithful (s) was questioned about the meaning of what God’s Prophet (s) said, “I will leave behind two heavy things with you: God’s Book and my ‘Itra.” He (s) was asked, “What does “my ‘Itra” mean?” He (s) replied, “It is I, Al-Hassan, Al-Hussein and the other nine Divine Leaders from the descendants of Al-Hussein. The ninth of them is their Al-Mahdi (Divinely Guided One) who is their Riser. They will not separate themselves from God’s Book and God’s Book will not separate from them until they meet God’s Prophet (s) at his Pool.”

An excerpt from long hadeeth:
محمد بن يحيى، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن النضر بن سويد، عن يحيى الحلبي، عن بريد بن معاوية، عن محمد بن مسلم، عن أبي جعفر (عليه السلام)...رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) الذي ارسل به فألزموا وصيته وما ترك فيكم من بعده من الثقلين كتاب الله وأهل بيته اللذين لا يضل من تمسك بهما ولا يهتدي من تركهم....
Mohammed bin Yahya, from Ahmad bin Muhammad, from al-Husayn ibn Said ibn Nadar for Sweden, from Yahya al-Halabi, Muawiya bin for mail from Muhammad ibn Muslim, from Abu Jafar (peace be upon him):
"..No doubt Holy Prophet preached what was sent to him so it is a must that you act on his wasiat/ last will for what he left in you after him which are the Thaqalayn, Book of Allah and Ahlulbayt as, who would be with them, will not go astray, and who would leave them, he will not be guided...."

Hadeeth 04:
An excerpt from long hadeeth:
1 – علي بن إبراهيم، عن محمد بن عيسى، عن يونس وعلي بن محمد، عن سهل ابن زياد أبي سعيد، عن محمد بن عيسى، عن يونس، عن ابن مسكان، عن أبي بصير قال سألت أبا عبدالله (عليه السلام) عن قول الله عزوجل: ” أطيعوا الله وأطيعوا الرسول وأولي الامر منكم (2) ” فقال: نزلت في علي بن أبي طالب والحسن والحسين (عليهم السلام)..... وقال صلى الله عليه وآله أوصيكم بكتاب الله وأهل بيتي، فإني سألت الله عز وجل أن لا يفرق بينهما حتى يوردهما علي الحوض، فأعطاني ذلك
Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus and Ali ibn Muhammad from Sahl ibn Ziyad, abu Sa‘id from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from ibn Muskan from abu Basir who has said the following:
“I asked abu ‘Abd Allah, recipient of divine supreme covenant, about the words of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High: ‘Believers, obey Allah, His Messenger, and your leaders (who possess Divine Authority). . . .’ (4:59)
“The Imam said, ‘This was sent from the heavens about Ali ibn abu Talib, al-Hassan and al-Husayn, recipients of divine supreme covenant.’
"...He also has said, ‘I enjoin you to follow the Book of Allah and my family. It is because I have prayed to Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, not to separate these two from each other until He will make them arrive at al-Kawthar (the pond of paradise) to join me. He has granted my prayer as such...."
“I asked abu ‘Abd Allah, recipient of divine supreme covenant, about the words of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High: ‘Believers, obey Allah, His Messenger, and your leaders (who possess Divine Authority). . . .’ (4:59)
